Hate the new forum, but love my new amp

The blue is better, but only slightly. Unless more changes are made I'm afraid this forum is done. That's not a knee-jerk reaction since it's been several weeks and let's be honest, activity seems to be slower now than right after the change was made. I think many of us gave it chance, but many are now out.

But the good news is that I just picked up a new to me Sunfire Cinema Grand. The better news is that I got it close to a DSkip craigslist find price. Well not that good, but still not bad. Mint condition and caps have been replaced:)

This is without question the best amp I have owned. The NAD it replaces is no slouch, but music is more dynamic, with a "crispness" that I can't really describe. There's just a sparkle to my music that wasn't there before. I'll eventually watch a movie and see how it performs, but for now I'm wearing out my CD collection.

Oddly enough, your threads about amps and the Rotel in the FM are actually what got me started looking for something else. So yeah, thanks!

Can't wait to hear what you think of the B&K. I may have to run one of those through here at some point as I always heard great things about them.

I guess I should take advantage of the new features and "Like" this...or maybe "Agree"...or I could "LOL."

I have a Sunfire TGA-5400 amp in my HT/surround/stereo system and it works and sounds great. I guess it is getting close to 10 years old now, and was the most expensive single component I had bought up to that time. While it still works great, I recently added my Cambridge-Audio 840W amps into this system for the fronts. Interestingly, the Sunfire seems to sound even better now that it is only driving the center and two surrounds.

Congrats! I loved the 300x2 and the sigII when i had them. Great sounding units.

On the forum comment, I wonder if people can't find it. I posted in another thread about not being re-directed to the new forum. If you go to the old one, or if you have it bookmarked, it had a coming soon or site down for maintenance message and now it just comes up page not found. This also messed up google searches. So, I wonder if some people can't find it. They should have kept the same naming when they re-did the site. Old was like polkaudio/forum new is forum.polkaudio.

Yup I am thinking I will be happy with it.

That rotel was a deal but the B&K came in a couple bills less which mean more money for other upgrades lol.

Now you will need to post some more pics of the setup.

I'm redoing my rack tomorrow night to prep for that amp and gonna try to get some better pics of my setup since I haven't posted any really good ones lately....

Gotcha. It sounded like some other forum folks helped you find/acquire the unit lol.

    Glad you got a Sunfire.

They were on my list (Cinema Grand and TGA) but both a bit outside my range.

    Enjoy it man!
