adcom gtp 600 vs. B&K Reference 20 or 30 Pre-amps

Looking to get a good used pre-amp/processor,simply for the purpose of possibly adding a center and rear speakers down the road .Any input , pros and cons of both units would be appreciated! Thanks!

  • Have owned all three and the B&K kill the adcom as far as sound quality and build quality. Depending on budget the ref 50 isn't that more money and is even better.Very Easy Desision from my experience.

The only problem is the B&k processors don't have HDMI, nor do they decode any of the newer surround formats such as DTS HD Master Audio. You can however, use analog inputs and let your BR player decode...if you have one with analog outputs that is.

If it's strictly just for music, then no problem, you'd be hard pressed to find a better SS pre for the used price.
