How old are you? Data needed for poll

Hi everybody. The "what you do for a living" thread was very interesting. Just curious as to what different levels of age groups we have here at Club Polk. We seem to all come from diverse backgrounds. The great "melting pot" we all love as the USA.
I'm 34. Missed being born in the 60's by a few days. 1970 was the year I was born. I think Troy and Mantis are my age as well. I saw that Loud and Clear was 35.
Don't need to post you age with name but I would appreciate a vote in the poll.
Let's see what the histogram looks like.
thanks,
Paul
Dangit! I messed up the 50 year old one. If you are 50 please vote on the 46 - 50 option.

Very nice program to determine and the present the results.

Yeah. I'm curious as to if we are going to get a typical bell curve or a more flat curve. Or does interest in audio peak in the teens and 20s and then roll off. It will be interesting to see how the interest in music has progressed in the decades even though this is really just a very small sample of what the actual results should look like. But it does give us an idea of the demography for Club Polk.

Let's just say, I was at Woodstock ... The original one.

I would say.. without any data to back it up. that interests in audio (high end audio anyways) peaks in your 30's and 40's. once you've had time to settle into a nice comfortable career and have a little extra $$ to spend on the finer things in life. like electronics.
I've always been interested in audio.. but didn't get into the higher end stuff till i was in my mid 30's. in my 20's i didn't have much expendable cash to play with. not that i have that much now. but it's a little easier to pick and choose and be able to actually be able to afford it.. within reason of course.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

Wannabie,
Yeah, I've learned alot in my years. It's just that I think young. I know people my age that actually think like 52 (old farts). I mean I don't go aroung mooning people anymore, but I still think it's funny. -
Ahhh ... I hear that ...

If you had added the ages below 15 this thing would be a near perfect bell curve. Interesting....the prof in prob and stats DID know what he was talking about..."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

Yeah. Maybe I should have ditched the 60+ one and put a 10 - 14 years old in there. I had to start at 15 to allow our resident aspiring audiophile Sid a chance to vote.
Looks like danger boy's theory is holding up so far. Makes sense to me. -
If they are too young, they shouldn't be on this forum. There should be an age limit, as some of its content is questionable at times. It currently does not exist.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Gulp! I'm 48 now. Does that mean I've got to give it up in 7 years? Or maybe worse........................ -

Acoustimass ? ... Hmmm, that does sound like some form of cancerous tumor, but I can't imagine that it actually grows on you, regardless of how old you get. -
87 votes so far. Good to see some 50+ people still enjoying music and music forums. I hope to be there some day with you guys.
