Being only a second generation Yank (my grandmother was born in Dunmaglas, Scotland to Clan MacGillivray) and having relatives in the north than I have spent some time conversing with, it is truly a double edged sword.

On the one hand, there is a chance for Scots to control their own destiny. But I see the English throwing a temper tantrum if they vote Yes.

There are just so many things that the media doesn't cover in this. The kilt wearin', Islay sippin', haggis eatin', caber tossin' Scot in me wants arrrrrrr freedoom.

    What is "Trainspotting?"

    Please pardon my ignorance.

It's a decent film. Worth a watch. About drugs and things of that nature. I'd love to hear some opinions on why others think its great because I don't see it. Ewan McGregor is in it which is why I think everyone likes it.

It's mainly a comedy / satire on heroine addiction, based in Scotland. A lot of pop culture references and one of Ewan McGregors better movies. Although the main characters in the movie are pretty much losers, Ewan McGregor turns his life around in the end and redeems himself in certain regards.

BBCA reports a 97% voter turnout....which is pretty impressive. Either way, they get to decide their own future, which is good.
  • Forget that...

    Braveheart... watch that instead

  • The girl pictured above is Kelly mcdonald, she was also Josh Brolins wife in "No country for old men".

You would never know it listening to her texas accent in that movie, just goes to show that for some reason, european actors have a way with american accents most american actors dont have with euro accents.

BTW, she is NAKED in Trainspotting.

  • Did I mention she is naked in trainspotting?

That film lost me with the groping in the toilet bowl scene. Should I have fast-forwarded and stuck with it some more ? (c:

I watched Trainspotting again last night...my wife comes strolling through the living room and promptly says, "Why do I always come into this movie during the **** scene??"
