New U2...for free

If you have iTunes, a new U2 album is available to download for free.

I know from past discussions there are some (many) here who don't care for U2, so no need to bash them here. Just passing along the information for fans or anyone else who may have an interest, but were unaware.

Ironically enough, this 'free' album is probably the best thing they've put out in a couple decades now. They've said that Apple paid them for this album but have not disclosed how much, I bet it wasn't much.

By the way you don't need an Apple device to get this album, anyone with iTunes on PC or Mac can also grab it. This is good thru sometime in October I believe, where it will go on sale to the public.

  • Once downloaded via iTunes to a PC, can it be put on an Android device? I doubt it can, but just checking to see if it's possible.

It's already in your purchased folder on your I phone and I pod all you got to do is download all 11 tracks and sync it to all your devices. I will listen to it later tonight. I'm not a huge U2 fan but hey it's free.

I have listened to this a couple of times now, I own Boy, War, The Joshua Tree, The Unforgettable Fire, Achtung Baby, How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, and now this and can say this ones not Bad, and its free! But you won't find a song of theirs as good as Bullet The Blue Sky on this.

Their early stuff...when Lillywhite produced them,is very good...liked Desire,Vertigo..and even have the soundtrack from their Red Rocks concert...In my opinion...a lot of their stuff has been sub par....but they are a very good band when they stick to the style that they are noted for...I'll have to check this one out..have heard that it is pretty good...
