Finalizing a deal on an Anthem MRX-500 through CL this evening. It's supposedly like new with all original parts/packaging. He's just upgrading to the 710. I've spoken to the guy several times and am 99.9% comfortable with sending him the money... It's that last 0.1%! Would be nice to have a fellow Polkie check the unit/seller out.

Appreciate the reply, but understand if something this evening is not feasible!

Randy is closer than I am, for sure! Is the seller in Portland or the Brunswick area? Both Randy and I are familiar with the mid-maine seller! lol

I don't get down to Portland much unless it's to take a plane, or get my daughter to the Mall. lol Portland has pretty much become a "playground" for the affluent and absentee Bostonians. I would argue that it is no longer the "real" Maine, by any means. Mostly, Yuppies and a few Granola holdouts (that's not a bad thing--the Granolas, that is)!

I'm in Central PA - State College area (Nittany Lion Country). You know, I don't know exactly where this person is, but when I looked him up on Whitepages, it turned up a match with a Portland address. His mobile number is a 207 area code, which I guess could be multiple locations. The CL ad said "Portland".

When you said both you and Randy are 'familiar with the mid-maine seller', did you mean you were familiar with this ad and/or the person selling it? I could certainly PM you. Would love to hear if you have anything good or bad to say if it is the same person.

Dan (Enders) recommended I reach out to you, but I didn't feel right PM'ing you out of the blue. I appreciate you taking the time to respond here! The help and support of the folks here is unequalled!

Sure, shoot me a PM! I'm originally from East central Pa., near the Delaware And my sister is living in the Scranton area, so I get down that way occasionally. Not as far inland as you are but closer than Southern ME.

It's more likely that Randy could get to Portland before yours truly,though. 207 is all of Maine. There are only a little over a million people up here. And to think I used to live in Manhattan! lol

Not sure if we "know" the seller. Would need the link to check the number. I have the guy's (I referrred to) number, I believe, on my cell. The guy is a tad eccentric and reclusive, but he seems to be OK as a seller.

I did get your PM. It took me a while to figure out how to find the 'outbox'. Basically, there is none... you just go to the inbox and open the SERIES of emails. Your outgoing message would be above or below the incoming message from me.
