Can binding post covers be removed or rotated

The position these covers makes it near impossible to use spades due the slots for spades are at the wrong angle. Can these covers be repositioned or removed...they are on there pretty tight.6x7z6ecm11hx.jpg

The cables I scooped up have spades. I always would rather have bananas on the amp end if given the choice. I may call Music Hall tomorrow and ask them....
  • You can get spade to banana adapters from vampire

Historically, there will be a stud going through the amp or receiver's apron (with an insulator, of course, usually plastic)by, and the binding post assembly is usually held in place with a star washer and a nut. One could then go 'under the hood', loosen the nut and reposition the binding post ad lib.* (being careful, of course, not to occasion any short circuit involving the post or the wire connected to it inside the component).

I don't know if this would be the case for the binding posts in question, though.

you can even use the cheapo amazon basics banana plugs to adapt banana to spade.

    http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Gold-Connector-Banana-Plugs/dp/B0090CVJZ4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1410176877&sr=8-1&keywords=amazon+basics+banana+plugs

But always take care to make sure 2 connectors are not touching.

I called Music Hall and spoke to a gentlemen with a British accent.....possibly Mr. Hall? Anyway, he said the covers are a safety feature and the easiest way to use spades with thicker wire was to break off the cover. I am going to look into removing the spades and having bananas installed.

I found I like Banana's for my amps (really like the Furez Locking banana) and depending on my speaker I like spades on the speaker end.

That does sound like something Roy Hall would say...
