Not enough to PUSH them but will sound better than an AVR. Better off looking for a used Parasound IMO in that price range.

Before I invested in Parasound, I mulled and mulled and mulled over whether to buy new or used gear.
If used - Parasound or Adcom?
If new - Outlaw or Emotiva?
I settled on used because I believe I got better bang for my buck, plus there is something to be said for matching brands in the stack.
If I went new, I was going to go Outlaw. Emotiva's specs just didn't do it for me to be honest.
Compare the Outlaw THD charts to Emotiva's and you'll find Emotiva rates their gear a bit more liberally than other reputable brands do. They're still more honest though about wattage ratings than any of the AVR brands (HK being the exception).Speakers: Polk RTi10
