Turntable opinion ?

Rotel RP-3000 is close by. Seller wants $300. Looks to be in good shape with a Pickering VX15-1200. Going to listen tomorrow. Is it worth the $$$ ?

    Chum...those were mid 70's production...about mid level...not bad back in the day..I prefer my tonearm to track about 1.5g....offer him what I said...they didn't go for much more than that brand new....another item about those...the suspension is solid..so you will have to have a sturdy stand for it...

    Chum.....the platter on that is light aluminum...could cause a resonance issue or ring at higher volume..tracking weight lower limit is kind of high...make sure the bearings are not worn too...just give it a good look over and demo...if acceptable to you,offer two bills...

    Thanks guys, think I'm gonna pass.It looked pretty but even at $200 for a 70's turntable that hasn't been restored is a risk I'm not taking. My B & O is going to the shop.
