    snikies.

    EDIT: OK, snikies is acceptable.
I suppose one could, as Norman Mailer famously did back in the days of book censorship, use the neologism fug in place of... well... you know.

Heck, it worked for The Fugs.

I do not like green eggs and ham...Sam I am. That's about the extent of our forums edit prowess. Dumb it all down to 10 year old status.....BECAUSE God knows we are afraid of offending anything that walks/talks/crawls.

    ...about the "pending approval" thing:

I had that happen a handful of days ago. I suspect that happens if you include a link on the post that isn't "known safe."

Testing from mobile. I've had several comments this weekend go right up without the 'review'. Now just tried to post three comments from work computer and all three are delayed for 'approval'... This is crazy.

    Time now - 12:01 EDT 9/8/14.

Huh, worked without review from my phone, but this one will probably be delayed as well.

Sorry for the bulk of comments. I can't figure it out. The "pending approval" seems totally random...

Hasn't happened to me yet, but I expect it eventually will.

Yeah, I had a couple comments that posted fine, but when I started a thread, it took between 16 and 24 hours for it to be 'approved' and post.

After that, had some other comments show up instantly. Then this morning, tried to congratulate sherardp on his new Audi (all I said was something like 'Wow, that is beautiful. Best of luck with your new ride!') and it said that it will post pending approval or review or something. No links, no bad words, can't figure it out. Oh well... Let's see how long it takes this one to post if it has to be approved...

It's now 11:58 EDT on 9/8. AND... GO!

Got this message again... "Your comment will appear after it is approved." Was in a little grey box in the lower left. This is crazy stuff.

did you double post above (twice -- I guess that's a four-ple post)?
Perhaps that had something to do with it.

Nope! Definitely did not... If I did, I would think that the double posts would have been back to back not "A-B-A-B" like they showed up. I haven't had a delay for approval in several posts and new threads since then. Maybe chalk it up to 'ironing out the kinks' on the new forum.

Do note that I pushed "Post Comment" on the one at 11:58 AM and it didn't actually show up until 5:45 AM the next day... nearly 18 hours later... :\

Thanks Ken! It only happened a handful of times (no rhyme or reason)... But, most times it doesn't.
