Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant
  • I have a pair of Monitor 50 tweeters. They could be the same thing...I had them send to me when I was having issues with my Monitor 50s, but it turned out to be the amp.

He probably blew them! Monitor series tweeters are fairly easy to take out if you clip your amp even a little. The Rti lines have a heat sink behind them that helps them handle things better.

Not that the Ms are bad, you just can't CRANK a cheap amp with them and do anything but lose them. I have had mine plenty loud with a power amp behind them and have "never" damaged anything!

To OP, you shouldn't have any problem getting replacement tweeters from Polk but you may want to also check to see if you haven't damaged the crossovers?
