Picked this up off eBay last week for right under $100 delivered. Came in today and plan on using it with either my Carver Pre or the NAD pre to run the bedroom system with my Monitor 10's. I did a little research but not a whole lot. What is the general consensus on this company and specifically this amp? Also came with some banana plugs.

Its decent for a smaller system. I had the 750a which is the next step up. It ran my RTA 11TL's with narry a fuss.

As far as the company, big fan. Running a 1200ii now for my RS-II's and it also works like a champ.

I am running an HCA-800II now, pushing my LSi15's. It is a great little amp especially for that price.

Mine had developed a problem with being sluggish to come out of protect mode. It is hard to find info on this amp and there were at least 3 versions. I have a schematic for one but it is not a perfect match for mine. I contacted Parasound and the president of the company responded and had one of his techs tell me how to fix it (bad capacitor). Unfortunately, Parasound doesn't have much info on the amp either anymore. I re-capped the amp with Nichicon Fine Gold and Muse caps and it sounds great.

Parasound is a great company and the amps seem to pair well with Polks.

Thanks for the info. I am liking it quite well so far. Set it up in my bedroom with the freebie TT and so far so good.

I often wondered about volume on an amp and I really like it. I can set it low and the pre higher and the problem with the other amp pre combo is gone now. He l l if I can find another one that cheap I'll run them as mono with my 10's.
