Got the Infinity RS-IIIb's up and running
Just got the woofers back with new surrounds yesterday. Dynamatted those puppies and put 'em in this afternoon. Sounded bright and out of phase. When I got them, one woofer had the wires hooked up backwards. I hooked them up correctly when I reinstalled the woofers. After a couple CDs they sounded bright, lacked bass which is what I thought Infinities were known for, and the sound was diffuse. So, I figured maybe the previous owner knew something, and pulled that one woofer back out and wired it the way it was when I got it. That did it. Phased correctly now it seems, bass is real fine, brightness gone and those EMIT tweeters are accurate and precise without harshness, nice soundstage. Nice speaks. Listening to Mark Knopfler Shangri-La SACD right now.
