Onkyo 797 Sub Out

Need a little help! Does anyone know if the pre amp sub out on the Onkyo 797 is filtered or not. Manual doesn't say. Being in the pre amp section, I would assume it's not but since it's labeled as "sub out", I'm not so sure. I'm trying to determine the best way to hook it up to my PSW350. (LFE or Line input)

Thanks,
Dave

I'm about 99.5% sure that the "Sub Out" jack passes a filtered signal. I don't have any experience with that receiver, and in my minimal research, I haven't been able to find out for sure.

Since the 797 is a THX certified receiver, the bass management, and crossover frequency should conform the the THX standard of 80 Hz.

If you haven't done so already, you might check the specifications section of the manual and see if it lists a subwoofer, or low pass crossover frequency.

P.S. Welcome to the forum. I notice you're from Arkansas also. What city? Ft. Smith is my guess :D
