Thanks audio militia, otherwise I still would not know

Cannot believe there were no plans to let people who were checking in on the old site that this thing was standing in for club polk.

My humble opinion, they were letting all the old timers know they are not the target audience, bothwith the lack of notice, and this carnival ride of a website.

I will try to keep on with it, but its because of the folks i have gotten to know on the site.

I get the message polk, im just grateful there is something left to keep in touch with the awesome folks i have come to know here, just wonder for how long

I hope you are right, but if the inability to even leave a message to check elsewhere for how to reconnect with polk is any indicator, along with constant badgering to participate in facebook etc is any indicator, well.

For the record, I"ve not yet been asked about or seen anything related to Facebook or Twitter on the new forum, other than the small icons that are tucked away on the bottom of the page and are nowhere near intrusive, so I'm assuming that's a setting somewhere...
  • The social networking is essential for Polk to continue developing their brand. I don't like it either, and I don't use any of it, but I do understand that using it allows the company to connect with many more people than traditional advertising and at a much lower cost. I also see the the push of the headphones as an attempt to broaden their target market and a way to establish brand recognition with the younger generations.
Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

Thanks Scottyboy for the kind words.... Audiomilitia is actually a pretty good place. It started out as a means for those of us that wanted to discuss topics that were verboten here on CP, and it has done it's job in diverting those discussions away from here. Would be nice to see a more diverse group over there, but it is what it is.

Tony's posts take so damn long to read there that I rarely have time to post there myself. :open_mouth:

There and here are the only two forums I've ever belonged to. I'm a hermit, ya know. Joined a computer forum once just to get a couple questions answered years ago. I couldn't get my 3.5" diskette to fit in the CD drive.

google links isn't bringing you to the new forum either I noticed. I searched up an amp last night and a link here popped up in the search. I clicked it and it went to the old site.
