Curious what you all think/are using, I have 2 x Polk 75t with a Polk 25c. I want to pickup 2 surrounds for a 5.1 system specifically for movies. A few I am thinking about:

Polk Monitor 45B
Polk FXI A4

Either of these better? I am intriqued in the A4's due to the bi/dipole option, would these be a good fit and/or do you have a better recommendation?

  • The fxi A4's are certainly better, however, the 45b's would be a better match and still do a great job.
Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

The FXI helps you not target directly where the effects are coming from so probably better for HT.

The Monitors would be better for 5.1 music, and would definitely work for HT, but you could kinda target the effects.

  • I'm running PSB Alpha B1s as surrounds with my 75Ts and 25c. They work great, but there are LOTS of good options for surround speakers...
