Scored a great deal....lawn maintenance

I scored a lighty used Swisher RTB14544, 44" rough cut mower deck last night for $550. This unit retailed for over $2400. 14.5HP electric start motor. This will be far more convenient than the deere tractor setup. Connect to my King Quad ATV, and off I go.

I use a Toro timemaster 30 with a striping kit by Checkmate. Makes that fescue look awesome. Grats on your mower bro.

Those Toros are NICE. I was seriously considering going zero turn Toro, but man they are pricey for the size deck I need (4 acres).

Nice grab! I have a fully wooded lot, but been thinking about picking up a junker rider just to keep some of the "wilderness" at bay.

Sometimes I feel like the woods are eating my house

I picked up a Snapper 48" this year and it cut down two hours of mowing to 20 minutes. Mowing and weed eating/edging take the same amount of time now. The Kawasaki engine is quiet and smooth.

Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

If any of you guys are in the Carolinas and need a mower give me a shout. I have a new John Deere D140 (48 inch deck, has 1 hr on the clock) with the cart I want out of my garage. Has nice LED headlights too. I'm special since working at Deere so it has a 5 yr warranty. PM me for a sick deal.

Yeah I like to use my push mower on my .5 acre lot. The Timemaster 30 makes it a breeze since it has a 30" deck with dual mulching blades. Toro makes a good mower, but I would agree that you spend a little more for sure.

Turf makes the landscape, not just my opinion, look at landscapes yourself, even the most lovely planting beds are degraded if the turf is not up to par, and it does not take much turf, even small amounts of grass can perfect a landscape.

    Nice job sherard.

Just picked up a wheeled string trimmer, Cub Cadet ST100---very nice, works very well. No more lugging that 2 stroke hand held, hell-wand.

Thanks guys. It will be time to reseed here in September. Going with Lesko tall fescue seed from John Deere. Its good stuff and has 0.0000% chance of weed seed. Supposed to be top product. I'll also lime again, fertilize, and other crap.
