Polk FS Speaker Selection vs. Room Size
My home theatre/music room is 12' wide and 25' long. My wife and I sit 15' from the tv/speakers and face the 12' wide wall. We have TSi300 speakers, center channel, and surrounds that are placed behind us. All is powered by a Yamaha RX-V473. Are the TSi300 speakers adqequate for the room size or should I be looking at upgrading to TSi400, TSi500 or other?

The larger speakers would offer somewhat better lower frequency reproduction, but not much else compared with what you already have. Have you considered adding a good subwoofer though? May be a better bang for the buck choice in the long run if you'd otherwise stick with the same speaker line.

That Yamaha is a low watt output receiver that really can't efficeiently run larger speakers. By incorporating a GOOD sub you will get the a much better home theater effect, plus the sub has its own amp2-channel: Modwright KWI-200 Integrated, Dynaudio C1-II Signatures
Desktop rig: LSi7, Polk 110sub, Dayens Ampino amp, W4S DAC/pre, Sonos, JRiver
Gear on standby: Melody 101 tube pre, Unison Research Simply Italy Integrated
Gone to new homes: (Matt Polk's)Threshold Stasis SA12e monoblocks, Pass XA30.5 amp, Usher MD2 speakers, Dynaudio C4 platinum speakers, Modwright LS100 (voltz), Simaudio 780D DAC
