Monitor 5JR Versus 5JR+

My wife got me another set of speakers, they are marked 5JR. I found info on the 5JR+ version on the polk vintage page.
Does someone know the difference in this series?

Yes Sir thats why I ask here, I did find that thread. I know some 5 series had the 8" passive some had a 6.5", not to sure what I have on the way as my wife seems to embracing this hobby All the lady said was the model Monitor Series 5JR and of course she can't seem to take a picture and send it to us which is scary. However, she's the same lady my wife got the 11's from and other than the shifted magnet on the 11's "which has since been relpaced" they were in pretty decent shape.

Wow tjats my old thread when I got my first pair of the 5jr+'s, have a second pair now. Those are my RTA 12c's in the forefront. The jr+'s are a great bookie great sound especially after cap upgrades. Enjoy them.

If they have an 8" passive then they're Monitor 5s (No Jr or Jr+). The early Monitor 5Jrs had a port (similar to the Monitor 4s) and no passive radiator. The later 5Jrs and the 5Jr+s had 6-1/2" passives.
