    They may even be second gen whisper as they have the older kevlar drivers.

    no those were only 12,500 each or close and yes once you hear them you will WANT THEM BADLY....

    As I said those are older and the newer drivers are many steps above the older models. New drivers new tweeters and the ICE amps much different crossover.

    That company is only 60mi away from me and I have went down many times to see Bill D. heck of a guy very personable and just a brilliant mind.

    Wow. That must have been a seriously fun day trip. Hopefully you were packing your 20 favorite CDs for that one. Now I just need to get the house paid off so I can buy some "next level" toys. Soon enough I suppose.

    Even with the older drivers, those Whispers are nice sounding speaks. A pair came up on the 'gon for 6k, and I was counting my change jars. I'm lusting after the Legacy Aeris these days. Bill D. is a lot like Peter from PBN, very approachable and willing to help you in any way they can. Jim Salk of Salk speakers is also like that. Many more too...and their Demo or used stuff is certainly within reach of us normal folks. I would encourage anyone looking to move up to check out any of those 3 speaker brands.
