Mint condition.
I've had it about 3 months, but I'm not even close to utilizing it to it's full potential, and I would like some $ towards a speaker upgrade.
May be interested in partial trade for an Oppo BDP 83 or 83SE.
Comes with original everything including the WIFI dongle.
Please ask any questions.
Don't want to pull it out of the system to post pics right now, but it's black and looks like the rest of them. Not a mark on it.
$975 plus shipping and paypal. CONUS and Paypal only, please.
Thanks,
Paul

I'll take it!Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Right now I have a Marantz SA-8004. I love it as an SACD player and standalone DAC in my 2-channel system. But we're going to be moving next year and downsizing, I will no longer have the luxury of a dedicated room for 2-channel. So I want to put the Oppo through a shootout with the Marantz in terms of 2-channel sound quality, with the hopes of loving it enough to tie into a 2-channel setup as well as HT.
So at some point I'll be selling one or the other.Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance. -

Looking forward to your impressions Neil. I have the 105 which I'm really fond of, but I've never hear the Marantz. Congrats to buyer and seller on a great piece at an excellent price!"Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer

The Marantz is fantastic, I'm not going into this with hopes of beating it from a sound quality standpoint. But I'm approaching a point where I either need a player with a lot more functionality (surround, video, etc.) or I'll need two players. I already have a cheapo Sony Bluray player, and I'm not dead-set against having two players if that's what it takes to maintain the level of sound quality that I get from the Marantz. But I'd prefer to be able to have one piece serve all these purposes, and the 105 is certainly the leading candidate.
I will certainly put up a shootout thread. However the shootout will strictly be two-channel music, both playing SACD and as a DAC for my Squeezebox Touch. I'm also going to have a play with network streaming direct to the 105 via JRiver.Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance. -

It's able to play from a network drive, correct? The drive doesn't have to be connected directly to the Oppo?Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.
