I did and I picked what I thought was a unique name...obviously I'm not the only one thinking that...

Actually FED Ex works great for me, better than USPS and UPS. But I do have a drop off place on my way home from work and that helps alot. Once you set up the initial account it has been pretty easy.

I will say I have never tried to "schedule" a pick up so maybe I missed the point on this one.

I have just had 3... effing 3 fedex next day deliveries not delivered on time...The worst being that I ordered something from Amazon on friday morning that was in stock in Robbinsville NJ paid extra for Saturday home delivery. I went from 20 miles away in Robbinsville to 7 miles away in Dayton on Friday... Then it went to West Elmhurst NY,,, then it never got here on Saturday (surprise surprise) and when I called Fedex they said "well it looks like it might get here on Tuesday", I then demanded to speak to a manager and asked him why they can't get it there on Monday??? and he said they (fedex Home delivery) doesn't work on Mondays and I said ..."Well it doesn't seem to me that you work on Fridays and Saturdays either" and slammed the phone down on him. I called Amazon and they had no remedy other the ship me another one that would get here on tuesday.. I should have ordered it standard. But hey Amazon refunded me the shipping charges. Whoopee!

I definitely prefer UPS.... NEVER had a problem. And never use the USPS as they stink on ice.

The FedEx site has been okay for me, including making changes to have my delivery held at the local FedEx Office. That said, their handling of the product recently was another thing. Ordered a pair of LSiM703 speakers from Polk's eBay store, one arrived fine, the other...not so much. Both boxes looked okay from the outside, but inside one of them, the styrofoam had cracks and the speaker was severely damaged. Here's some pictures for your "enjoyment."

Polk is taking care of me though. They sent me a shipping label for the return and are shipping the replacement Tuesday since I dropped it off FedEx Monday night. Hope FedEx treats this one a lot nicer...

I guess I should go slower with this bunch...

The haha is that the name "ThisIsStupid" was already taken indicative of someone else thinking that...

All I need is Fedex ground to pick up my stuff and I have to spend 10 minutes going through a web application.

    It's not complicated...

I think we got that...you can call them... or you can walk into a Fedex Kinkos storefront. my point was that they suck and their customer service is not what it used to be.

...and I didn't even say Monster, Bose or cable.

My point is that it was funny the name had been used. No critique on Fedex in general.

Sorry that your experience with them is not what it used to be.

Do you guys work extra hard thinking up ways to send threads sideways?

Looks like everyone so far has pretty much just been responding with their own experiences with those shipping companies. Not sure how that's sideways......

I've never really had any problems with FedEx or UPS, but I don't do much shipping, so my experience is solely on the recipient side.

    Thank goodness...

In keeping with the directions we've gone...

I had soup today for lunch and UPS didn't have to ship anything to me so FedEx worked just fine.

I think everyone got the humor in the first post, and also interpreted that as a sign that you were having issues with FedEx and then responded in kind with their experience.

I'm sorry that nobody laughed at your joke...

Oh...I really don't mind and certainly didn't expect much more.

I believe that I find it more entertaining to read through this than anyone found entertainment in my original post or any I've posted since.

    It's all good... SQUIRREL! FedEx.
