Rtia7/9- RT16 comparison.

Hey Fellow Polkies!
My wife said she would rather have the towers (Rtia7/9) first,
instead of a monster SVS PB12/2000. I will be selling both of my psw505 to put money
Towards them(not much prolly but it's some). And that way a SVS should come sooner because no sub.( I have my tactics lol)
So I figured I now have some proper prerequisites for either tower.
Also, unfortunately my left bottom woofer on my RT16 is distorting,
not much but it is there GRR. I can live with it.
Ever since I have adjusted to my New amp. I truly don't feel the need
For my subs (most of you he time, still need one though). My RT16 felt very competent of producing excellent low
Frequency, since the one is corner loaded. They both fit my room very well.
I WILL still get one BUT... Was only wondering if the Rtia7 would produce
Just enough bass? I am not a bass junky, I do love the balanced sound now.
It's just that I will not have any subs for a little while( prolly a few months) and would need the
Extra oomph. Also, ultimately the Rtia7 is what I want or even the Rtia9.
I have not heard the Rtia9 but have seen it and damn they are quite large lol.
From what I have researched the RT16 are very close, more less between the a7/a9.
Of course the A7/9 will be better, this is just posts/threads.
My gear is in my Sig. Also, I just bought some older Kimber Kable 4TC from the former owner
Of my amp. They do seem legit, far better than my Sewell silverbacks and I Will be picking up a Pioneer bd-51
And of course a Csia6.
Funny thing, just last week I found a pair of great condition Lsi25 WITH a PSW650, Price was $300
For all, then the following day I found the lsic for $150. Unfortunately I would have to drive 4.5 round trip for the Lsi25
and needless to say they both sold within 3 days lol. Other wise I Would have been in the lsi club lol.
This will be my last setup for at least 5years for main. Unless I build a separate system in another room.
my listening habits are 60/40 movies/music.
I will still use my RT16 and will get another woofer. But when I have my wife onboard,
Must act fast lol
Thanks a lot !!!
Cheers

Lol. Was wondering when you would post. I have read your Sig and have taken note.
Hell, that is why I chose the Parasound 1200II lol (thanks!). Your setup is ideal for me.
One question, you ever wonder what the Rtia9 would be like into your mix?
Or have you heard them and still would rather have Rtia7 ultimately?Polk Lsi9

Thanks bud.
I personaaly would rather have the A7. Just don't want that " what if" lol.
Regardless, the A7 should be plenty for my family (me lol) especially with the 1200II
Driving them. Even when we get a bigger house. When it comes time to pull the trigger "if" I find a the A9 at awesome price used or new I might buy.
Otherwise the A7 will be the one.
Just curious, are you about 50/50. On movies/music?
Thanks ALOT!!! Always appreciated!
