I was wondering if anyone may know if I can use my yaqin cd2 tube buffer in conjunction with the Vincent po 8 phono preamp and, if so, how would I connect the in and out cables? thanks.

Isnt the vincent phono preamp already tube?

If not, turntable to the vincent, vincent to the cd2 cd2 to your receriver or preamp. Btw. Are you using a receiver or integrated or seperate amp / pre?

The reason why I ask, when I was using an integrated amp, it had pre out and amp in. Thats where I found my cd2 most effective.

no, the poh-8 is not, altho Vincent does make one that does have a tube. I'm currently running a parasound hca-1200 with a parasound php-850 pre. and thank you.

try it between the pre and the amp. For me when I ran one it made one heck of a difference.

gotcha. and thanks. been switching over to all zu audio cables, and think they're the cat's meow.

I picked up a cd1 & cd2 here on CP & really enjoy them & notice a big difference. For the price you can go wrong. I play around with different tubes :) Enjoy

those are nice tubes. Adds alot to the mix. I have been using Voskhods & Mullards on & off. They both seem great with the SDA's. I just switched over to the RTA's & need to get a listen to the Mullard M8100's for a bit & see how they sound on those speakers. Hard one as the SDA's just seem much better. Rolling tubes in these little guys are fun & you do notice a difference. Well worth the coin

I had an opportunity to pick up a matched pair of the voskhods from a guy on the site some time ago, and had to pass at the time. I can't recall who it was, but if he's reading this thread and still has them, I would like to try them out.
