It seems that these are fairly-well regarded for the price. I think I remember Scomp posting about these last year sometime.

There is a pair for sale in my area that I am considering to replace my 15's.

Anyone had ears on these speakers in person??

Thanks for the help,
Paul

They look good and seem to have some fantastic reviews. I have never heard a set though.

Yea...good reviews from what I can tell.

I think Scomp said they were sort of the poor-mans Salk.

I just sent him a message to see if I could go listen to them.

    Hey Paul! Kewl!

You've probably been to the Philharmonic about page. Dennis Murphy knows crossover design, does them for Salk. He is also second fiddle... Dennis is the assistant principal violist in the Washington Philharmonic Orchestra.

Did you own a pair? How'd you like em? I've seen these come up time and time again over the past few years, I'm very curious.

Yea, I think I've found most of what's out there as far as research. Seller hasn't responded yet.

Hoping to get ears on them. If/when I do, I'll report back.

Just got a response. Seller said he would have preferred a local sale, but just shipped them to Colorado today.

Too bad. The Phil's are a fun speaker. Very "live" sounding. I preferred The Salk Songtowers and Ascend Acoustics towers over the Phil's, but they are very good speakers. You can alter the low end frequency response by adding or removing cabinet stuffing if I remember correctly. Very good price to performance ratio.

No, I've never owned or heard them. Just know about the folks involved with them.
