SDA CRS Prices

So I tried several search options CRS+, CRS, Compact Reference Series, and came up close to zero in my forum search results. I must be doing something wrong with the other search option parameters...

I'm wondering what the going rate is for a set of fair conditioned CRS+'s ? The ones I'm looking at also includes the stands.

They are asking $350... is that in line with current prices, or....?

Thanks for any input.

(almost 30years with the same SDA2's and NOW I catch SDA fever. Go figure...)
Recently purchased: SDA1C's & SRS2.3TL's
Still have: 2 pairs of SDA2's including my original set I purchased in 1985. 1 or both will eventually go up for sale.
2.3TL's - Living Room
CRS+'s (4.1 TL's) - Office
SDA1C's - Famdamly Rm
SDA1C's - Master Bedroom

These are CRS+ (pin/blade) oak veneer with stands that are being offered. If enquirying minds want to know they are the ones in Coos Bay, OR... listed on CL for a 2nd time (at least). Still a distance from me, but possibly doable, especially if the seller is willing to meet me somewhere between Portland and Salem. Heck, I went down to Portland to pick up my SDA1'Cs.

Back in the day I used to commute from Eugene to Seattle on the weekends to meet up with friends and family like it was nothing. That was a crazy time in my life... nowadaze, just a different 'crazy' going on I suppose...

If they are in VGC, 350.00 with stands doesnt seem too outrageous. Offer 3 bills and see what happens

    nbrowser,

I understand your pain. Truthfully its just 2.5hrs between you and me. I'm in the Seattle metro area. I wouldn't want to hassle with any stuff at the border crossing, but let's keep in touch via PM if and when I'm ready to let go of one of my SD2 pairs. We could always meet in Bellingham. I'm an older, 'mature' (man I hate that moniker..lol) who hasn't abused his speakers. The set I'd sell is still in OEM configuration, but I'd be willing to throw in any extra h/w I have left over from my upgrade projects on my current 'stable.'

$350 is on high side but not bad if they are in excellent condition.

Around $250 - $300 is the sweet spot but could be different up North.

    Klipsch RB81, KG3.5, B&W DM602.5, Polk.
Subwoofers: Klipsch RW10, Triad ProSub Bronze.

Disagree. If they have the original stands, the price is fair. It's not a steal, but it's not high. Without stands I would agree that $250 would be about right. But the original Polk stands definitely do add good value.
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Here is a photo of mine on the Polk stands. If the stands being sold do not look like these, then they are just a set of third party stands, not the original Polks:

Disagree as well, the price is more than fair.

One thing tho.....you already have 2.3TL's, so why would you want them?

So... big house, and no unified (SONOS type system) to tie everything together. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing...

'The Plan' SRS2.3TL's for the living room
SDA1C's for the Famdamly room and daylight basement at large
Next it gets a tad fuzzy:
I have my master bedroom & my den/work office that I'd put 1 pair of SDA2's and the other the CRS+'s.
Years ago I had one of my SDA2 pairs in my bedroom, and that was nice, but damn, they take up room.

I missed that they have stands. My reply was for the CRS+ only.

    May be he'll do $300.

    Niel,

That's a fantastic setup. I really love the tube amp and the stereo rack. (Yes, everyone loves a good rack.) What kind of turntable are you spinnin' ?

PS: I will try to overlook that you're a Yankees fan...

Hah! Proof that the stands have good value

How much did I sell you the stands for, do you recall?

    Full season ticket holder!

That's a tubed pre, not amp. Dared MC-7P. My amp is solid state, Krell KAV-2250. The turntable in the photo is a Thorens TD-166 MKII. I've since replaced that with a VPI Traveler.

For my CRS+ with Sanus stands I paid $280. Your seller probably has some room given that he has re-listed them.
