Infinity 3006 Rehab Project

Working on a project recently, a pair of (Circuit City) Infinity Crescendo 3006's - 8" 3-way but the do have an excellent radial EMIT-R tweeter. Picked them up at Goodwill locally for $45 with ruined surrounds but tweeters that worked so I thought I could always part them out for the $45 on just the tweets. Grills looked like a catch scratching post too.

Removed woofer and cleaned off existing (now tar-like) foam surround. Ordered refoam kit online and worked on both woofers first.

Next I tackled the midranges:

Then I attacked those ugly grills - fabric also ordered online:

Overall, I think it came out pretty good for a first re-foam job, and with materials and original purchase, I can definitely say they are far and away the best $85 speakers I have ever owned. They're surprisingly musical and easy to listen to. Built like tanks and very heavy.
I think I'll probably pull the drivers again when I go to Dynamat my 1c's and seal my cabinets, I'll Dynamat & seal these too - they are too nice sounding to not give them the "good stuff" treatment.
Anyway - just thought you all might enjoy, and if you've never done a set before, i was worried too, but if you take your time, pretty easy stuff really.
