Anyone ever heard one? I saw one for sale and I like the looks of it.
Running an arc sp16 now. I kind of like the looks of the vincent better since it has a visible tube.

I have a Vincent SA-31 preamplifier and really love it, except no remote and no headphone amp built into it. I think the SA T1 looks better then mine and is suppose to be a lot better sounding then what I have, if it was me and the price was right I would not hesitate to buy one.2 ch- Polk CRS+ * Vincent SA-31MK Preamp * Vincent Sp-331 Amp * Marantz SA8005 SACD * Project Xperience Classic TT * Sumiko Blue Point #2 MC cartridge

I didnt realize it didnt have a remote!!!! Now I am looking at the sa31mk since it has a remote. Although i agree with you and like the looks of the sat1 better, and the sat-1 uses 12u7 and 12x7 tubes that i have at home, the 31mk uses 4 6N16. I have to see if i have any for tube rolling.Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's.

I didn't know the the sa-t1 did not have remote either, I do miss it on mine. and I have never change my tubes in my SA-31 as I never though about it since its a hybrid LOL. I bought mine because it was like only $600 and it was my 1st preamplifier and I wasn't sure I wanted to go to separate but I had a adcom 5503 to try it with. Now I'll probably never sell it as I still think its awesome, and their Hybrid Amps are a great match to them Let me know if you do get one as I've also wanted to know what the MK version sounded like.
BTW did U see this? http://app.audiogon.com/listings/tube-vincent-sa-t1-stereo-tube-preamplifier-2014-08-01-preamplifiers-canada

Keep the ARC 16, much better build than the Vincent. I got to spend some time with two pieces of Vincent gear a few years back while watching a friend's home while he was out of the country. Let's just say I felt no desire to write the distributer for a review sample.Review Site_ (((AudioPursuit)))

I didnt think the t1 had a remote. Thanks for the link.
I am not unhappy with the sp16, just sometimes I like to try out different things and the visable tube in the front of the vincent looked cool. Voltz. Yes audio researcm. My sp16 has upgraded caps in it also. So far that preamp has lasted longer then any other piece I have owned.Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's. -
Mark and dskip, it does seem like a backward move from what I have now. Sometimes in this hobby I get caught up in the cool look factor besides the fun of swapping gear. Maybe I will just try some new tubes in the sp16. I have ran rca 5751 3 mica, eh ( terribe on the eh in that pre in my opinion) and currently running tunsol from 1959. Maybe ill try some tele's or gold lion next.Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's.

That Sp 16 does sound like a really great little preamp, its hard not to not look at other amps and not think about a change or upgrade. Even though I love my Vincent set up, I went & bought a mc100b tube amp just because I wanted to try some tubes and see what it was like to drive down that street. like you said about trying different things and the mc100b took the last of my play money I have to put the rest in a Kitchen I'm going to gut.
for once I think I'm finally content and happy with what I have now, which is two 2channel set-ups, SS (hybrid) & now Tubes!
and now its time to just kick back & play some tunes! but I'm curious what your going to find out about those MIT's2 ch- Polk CRS+ * Vincent SA-31MK Preamp * Vincent Sp-331 Amp * Marantz SA8005 SACD * Project Xperience Classic TT * Sumiko Blue Point #2 MC cartridge
