I'm pretty sure that if your caps are from a reputable source, that's NOT a problem. But I would not put it past some Chinese (fly-by-night) companies to do something like that. Not ALL but some. There is/are plenty of fraud and fakes in China. In fact there is an entire area in the port city of Beijing, Tianjin, that is devoted to knockoffs of every famous brand you can think of; a venue, NOT for tourists but for the Chinese themselves! lol

It's a joke! But they will swell up and come apart. When I got my Infinity RSIIIa's. There was a cap on one XO that had swelled and came apart. There were little rolls of paper and foil on the XO board.

Emo sure does take a lot of cheap shots....:)

    379468086.jpg

Not quite Panasonic caps....but a measured 410 watts x 2 @ 4 Ohms with a $700 MSRP. An amp with higher quality parts, caps, etc. like Panasonic or better and that much power will have an MSRP at least twice as much. It is what it is....and there is a market for it....not sure why they keep getting hit below the belt?

Anyway, the OP's picture reminds me of the HUGE cap debate in Car Audio years ago. There were comparisons done here and there and several large 1 Farad caps were cut open. There was quite a difference between the dielectric material inside. Some almost look the picture in the OP.
