New SDA1c Amp Help

Hi guys

Nabbed some really beautiful SDA1c yesterday. Not sure my Audire Model One will handle them (100wpc) and I found a deal on a Soundcraftsmen PCR800 which is 300wpc. Thoughts? Quality amp or not so much. I run my Harman Kardon AVR20II as a pre (and for rears) only so this really only has to handle the new 1c's in two-channel? He's been running it so it hasn't sat, and it has no issues.

Then on to the interconnect, dynamat, RDO's, Bh5 and such!

    Any Soundcraftsman amp is due for service; it's old enough that the electrolytic caps should be replaced. Some folks really love 'em, I've never heard one.

    Thanks! Figured it will likely need caps or something too. Hoping for a good sounding amp in the process though.

    I think that unless you have an oversized room the Audire amp will be great. If it worked nicely for your 2bs, it will be fine for your 1Cs. I used an HK Citation 24 (same wpc) with my 1Cs and never felt the need for more power. The Model One wasn't overbuilt like their later Crescendo models, but it is no slouch either.

    Awesome - thanks - I guess I'll give it a try, it has never lacked for power with the 2b's and the room isn't huge either.

    Congrats on that 1C purchase! Anytime we can find large speakers in great condition in our own back yard it makes it all worth while.

    Thanks! BTW my buddy has an old rack mount 300wpc HK Citation 16, that thing is a brute! "rescued" it out of a roller rink I think. Love the old HK stuff.
