Have you made sure to unzip the file before putting it on the usb drive? It is not a surprise to hear you have had no luck doing the upgrade over the internet. I do know the firmware update file is large enough to be zipped when you download it. If you haven't already tried, try unzipping the download before you put it on your usb drive. If you can't get it to work and there are no answers that work here on this forum, there is a 1121 owners thread over on the AVS forum with about 110 pages of questions/answers on it. Google the forum and yo should be able to find an answer there. If you call Pioneer, they will not care. Sad, but true. Hopefully someone here can help you, there are a lot of experts on this forum, thats what keeps me coming back.

You can search my earlier posts regarding this same issue. I was able to load firmware, reset and continue using the device for a couple of weeks before it completely died. It's basically garbage now. HDMI board replacement (most suggested issue point without paying for an actual analysis) costs just as much as the whole device did new. I know people like their Pio products. For me, not going to be trying them again any time soon.
