For Sale my used Onkyo TX-NR3008 receiver in great condition. Second owner and I've only had the unit for about a month. I love the ease of use and the sound of this unit. ***This sale only includes the receiver***. The RC-773M remote, Audyssey ACM1H mic, Power cord, Manual are NOT included. The unit is heavy at 55lbs so it will be packaged very well.

$450.00 firm plus shipping, by Paypal gift or Certified check. PM me for any further details.

This thing does it all! Only selling because another cool unit became available.

I bought a Pioneer Elite AVR recently from Will. Very smooth transaction, extremely well packed and he was very helpful with setup.
    Buy with confidence!!

Yes, the DSP chip was re-flowed on the HDMI board by me. I'm not aware if this unit was ever repaired out of warranty by Onkyo. The firmware was updated and the unit has been smooth. I love the way Blu-Rays, Internet radio, and 2 ch sounds from this unit vs. some of the other units I've had. Only selling because a TX-NR5008 became available here locally.

Some guys are using a fan on top to keep things cool. I might try that at some point. Its no secret that some of these older units have HDMI issues. Like all things YRMV.

..and yes, I've sold about 4 AVR's in the last year or so without issues.

    jhw59, Thanks man!

You misunderstand...I wasn't questioning your integrity at all. I have nothing but respect for folks who are comfortable working with modern electronics.
I was only making an effort at making sure there was full disclosure. You have a good reputation and that should be a positive selling point imho.

ZLTFUL, No I didn't take it that way at all. As far as not posting it in the original thread, I did that before on another sale and all sorts of questions came up regarding the integrity of the unit and guarantee period, etc. I guess I look at used gear different given that I'm around power electronics every day. A repair means New Life...and keeps stuff out of landfills for awhile longer! Still, I figured anyone wanting to buy a used Onkyo will automatically ask about HDMI issues. Many have no issue at all and many have years of problem free performance after a repair.

Make no mistake, I have no problems working with someone if the unit shows up DOA but when a unit is out of warranty it is out of warranty rather it was repaired or not. Even a never repaired unit can fail at any point but that is the chance one takes when they buy used. These are worth it as they are performers.

Onkyo has repaired several of these units out of warranty.

I just got an Onkyo a while back I liked my Denons and my Yamaha Avrs but the Onkyo just impresses me to the fact I sold one of my Denons without remorse, and I usually hoard stuff. Great deal on this one for sure.

This is a crazy good deal. I wish I could find a use for it. These units got a bad name for the HDMI issues, but they are amazing receivers. I moved from one of these to the 5508 processor and did not find much of a difference.

I've had a basic Sony AVR, an Elite SC-05, SC-25, SC-65, and a TX-SR806 connected to my system. Besides the lively and powerful Elite SC units this use really caught my ear. Was even surprised that is sounded better than those units playing music...even digital files and internet radio sounds better. Maybe not night and day difference but I like it!

The 5008 is in place now. Not a huge difference from the 3008 but....I said, why not!

Also, these are just super easy to use. I downloaded the manual but have yet to really use it. Maybe I will read through it just for the neck of it?
