Okay, I've got the equipment almost all pinned down, not time to buy cables. I'd like to do this as cheaply as I can, but still get decent stuff. I have cables now, but they're all cheap ratshack stuff, so I'd like to upgrade a little...

I need:

Interconnect from CD Player to Receiver (analog)

Speaker Cable for the 150s - I have decent stuff now, but may want to upgrade. I think I'm more interested in the connects than the cables...

Interconnects to go from the 5.1 outputs on the decoder to the 5.1 inputs on the receiver.

Interconnects to go from the pre outs on the receiver to the inputs on the amp for the 150s

It sounds like most of these will be just regular RCA cables, so I probably just need to nail down a good brand for RCA cables...I see Monster everywhere. I know that Apature used to be really good, just not sure what all my options are...

I would go with Signal Cable all around, very good quality for a reasonable price, plus discount for forum members. Try them out I have them all around my system and they are really nice.

    I love mine:

    Audioquest Granite speaker cables
    Audioquest Copperhead interconnects

Relatively inexpensive (Granite is still 50% off at AudioAdvisor) and fantastic, grainless treble--solid bass.

    My .02 cents.
