Time to minimize the projects! (Los Angeles)

It is time for me to leave LA, and I have too many projects to take everything with me! I have a pair of Monitor 10's and a gutted pair of 7's that made their sacrifice well before I got to them. My plan was to strip the 10's, which are sort of ugly, and rebuild the 7's with new posts and internals, but I ran out of time. These are craigslist speakers that I picked up a while back, so they naturally have some idiosyncrasies.

Photo Album: http://imgur.com/a/hMCIZ#0

Monitor 10's
-Functioning mids & tweets
-Wood veneer is lightly colored, lighter than the photos, some abrasion evident
-Previous owner installed the binding post cup upside down, never got into it to swap it around
-One badge missing from covers
-Front covers sort of rough, bad kitty.
-One of the binding posts was swapped with a too-long replacement

Monitor 7c's
-No mids or tweeters
-Binding posts have been mangled
-Crossovers work
-Back corners are a little mangled
-Front covers are in decent shape, with badges

If you are in the LA area and need working monitor 10's, or want to build a pair of 7's from parts, claim them! If they are not gone by Friday I am going to send them back to CL. Latest pickup would be Sat.

Cheers, and thanks for all the great info over the years!

Are they for free, or are you selling them? If free, I will find them a good home. How far from the San Fernando Valley are you?

Free to club members if you take both pairs :)

Hell, free if you take either pair.

And since we all hate driving in LA, and that may factor into your decision, I live near USC/Downtown.

I am pretty jammed up with packing right now, have to clear out by Sunday. I was hoping they would find their own way to their new home, but if there are no other takers, I can meet Saturday morning while I run my final errands.

Bumping this back to the top, as my beloved shot this down fast and hard... and she still does not know about the power center, AB700(2 pairs)AB800(1pair) or the RTA/8tl's, and the Peachtree, the Pioneer N30....

LOL, I will be in DEEP **** when I start filling up the audio rack.

John, I live at the intersection of the 10 & 405 and my office is the house next door to where I live. I would be perfectly fine with you "hiding" future projects here. The office is now just used for interformat transfers and such. I closed my Broadcast Services business after my stroke. So there is plenty of room. And I have plenty of my Polk stuff stashed in there so they won't be lonely.

Heh, I understand the veto, sounds like you have more lingering projects than I do! Thanks for letting me know, still up for grabs for anyone else that is interested!
