Hi everyone,
I need some lifesaving advice here. I will be purchasing a five channel amplifier in a few weeks and have pretty much narrowed it down to the outlaw 755 and the adcom 7700. I like them both and price is not the isue. I would just like to analize everyones opinions. Thanks.

You might want to take a look at this thread for some opinions about Adcom. While I don't have a 755 I do have a 7100 and am very pleased with it. I was very hesitant to buy from Outlaw when I first started shopping for an amp, but I'm glad I did. Try one and if you don't like it you send it back. Simple, but I bet you'll keep it!:)

    Hey Frank,
I am curious as to why u did not got with the outlaw 950 preamp?
It looks like you have an Anthem. I am thinking of buying the combo stack 950b/7100.

I bought my Outlaw amp when I was still using a Pioneer Elite receiver. The PE ran very hot trying to drive the Lsi's. I had already tried the Anthem PVA-7 amp was not to impressed with it. I had listened to the AVM-20 when I decided to get the amp and reallyliked the sound of the preamp and had my heart set on it. Turned into a freaking mess though, in some ways I think I should have got the 950 instead, but who knew?!?

oh ok. that makes since. Ive read very good reviews on the 755 and 7100. with the stack, its only about a 400 dollar difference. one drives 100w and the other 200w. Do you really think it really makes that big of a difference in sound?
In addition the h/k 7200 which drives 100 watts is on sale for $788 down from $1900 at both fry's and one call. The only bad thing ive heard so far on the h/k is the audio drop out switching between different audio signals, especially when switching tv stations us hdtv.
Do you think it would be better to go pre/pro and with the h/k av unit at such a huge discount. My concern here is not price, but sound quality.

Honestly, go with the seperates. There are a lot of great receivers out there, but seperates are always a step up.
