Derp. Sorry. Rick's Yamaha Aventage. I know it's still an AVR but it'll be the nicest AVR I've ever had. I'm excited to see how it compares to the RX-V667, which is not so great, at 2 channel music.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

You're in for a treat!! I used to own an RX-V663, and I currently own an RX-A1000. I found that the RX-A1000 tamed the bright sound that Yamaha receivers were known for. That is one of the main differences between the RX-V and the RX-A lines of receivers. Enjoy!!Paradigm 11seMkIII mains, w/ Zu Audio jumpers

This is exactly what I'm hoping for. Although, vintage Polks are generally fairly warm so it's not too bad with my speakers but with my headphones (Fidelio X1's) the brightness is very noticeable when you go above a moderate volume.Sci-fi Polk Guy wrote: »I found that the RX-A1000 tamed the bright sound that Yamaha receivers were known for.
