Cleaning house are we? I have a pair of those JBL 2600s with a VIFA soft dome in there from PExpress rather than the titanium dome (which is one of the most likely to fail tweeters ever made according to my Tech?). And I can safely say the VIFAs take full advantage of the JBL bass and pair it with a more refined and articulate high end.

Not a bad pair of extension speakers, say for a kitchen, den, workroom, etc.

I did the same thing to a pair of 2500s which are now part of my daughter's mixing room powered by an Insignia NS-R-2000 I got at a GW for $4.99? It's actually a rebadged Sherwood RX-4109 with the phono section and sounds OK for an entry device. The Sherwood, I mean, Insignia, "loves" the VIFAs!
