I purchased a set of Polk Audio RTiA3 bookshelf speakers a little while ago and hooked them up to a receiver that was given to me for free. The main in the left speaker had very faint if any noise coming out of it. I tried various troubleshooting methods to no avail and brought the speaker in to get it looked at. I was told nothing was wrong with it.
Three months later I moved and bought a Marantz PM5004 integrated amplifier to replace the old receiver and new speaker cable. When I hooked everything up I had the same issue. I took the speaker in to get it looked at by a different shop and was told, again, there is nothing wrong with it.
When I switch the speaker cable between the two speakers, the left is still the one that has little to no volume from the main. I know it's difficult to tell what I might be doing wrong without seeing my setup in person but if any of you have any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,

Something wrong with your source? Have you tried multiple sources? The RCA's connecting your source to your Marantz? Have you tried different IC's from source to Marantz?

    Hello,
Welcome to Polk's forum. Am I correct that you switched the wires between the left and right channels, at the speaker end and the same left channel speaker sounded incorrect? So, the faulty sound remained in the same speaker, correct?
Also, can you elaborate on what the speaker isn't doing? What do you mean "no volume from the main"?
    Regards, Ken

Can you take pictures of the back of the current setup. Don't touch how you have it wired. Also the wiring into the back of the speakers.

This is odd if I am reading properly but you had a problem you let go for three months? Then you noticed the problem with the marantz both left and right speakers stayed connected to the same channels but you switched the speaker wires?
