I'm getting gifted transfer of 'stock' of up $10,000\ 2 years max (not including salary increases, ect...which edge the % value greatly) up to aprox. $1,000,000+/- with assets, ect depending on appreciation or depreciation of company value with a 24.5% share of the company when it's all said and done. Anything above 24.5% will be purchased by me and I will have a split ownership control totally at 25.5% + with payments going back to the holder of the lesser ammount (49%) in the form of a gradual buyoff.
It's all very exciting/new/scary. Won't mean too much for a few years really. I know what I posted doesn't make a ton of sense the way it's written. It's all very foriegn to me, but yeah...It's good news.
This doesn't mean i'm a millionaire or something it just means i'm on my way to becoming an executive of my current company as the boss starts moving towards retirement.

lol. I know how that goes. I put 10% of every paycheck for 2 years into a stock option plan, and watched the quotes every day like a hawk. And the only price that really mattered was the price on the day I sold it all.
The pleasant suprise? A brand new Bimmer at age 25. Stock didn't pay for the whole thing, but it did pay for the down payment and all taxes and tags.
Congrats,
