Hi,
I was recently able to snag the Pioneer VSX-1123K on clearance and am curious if this is a better receiver than my current Onkyo TX-NR616?
My 7.2 setup is as follows:
Polk Audio RTI8 (Fronts)
Polk Audio Monitor 25C (Center)
Polk Audio RTI4 (Rear + Surround)
Polk Audio PSW110 10-Inch Powered Subwoofer
Mostly want to use for movies and gaming.
Thanks for any insight!

I'm with Tony. These are similar, the Pioneer might have a few newer features or not. The Onkyo weighs a few more pounds so I would expect it to have a little more power in real world terms. As for as sound, that's pretty subjective.
Since this Pioneer is not a D-class ICE amp I can't automatically say, yes this might sound better.
