Opinions on NHT 2.5i

I've got a chance to pick up a pair of these for cheap and was curious to see if anyone has any experience with these.

Sources: Harman Kardon DVD-27,

AVR: Sony STR-DA2400ES
Amps: Sonance Sonamp 260(fronts),
Kenwood KM-894(surrounds)
Fronts: NHT 2.5

Surrounds: NHT Super One
Subwoofer: SVS PB10-ISD

    The metal tweeter can be a bit much, so careful gear/cable selection is important. Upgrading the crossovers will net positive results. Definitely worth a listen.

    I haven't been on here in a long... long time, but saw the title of this post while looking for advice on bookshelf/sub combos... Anyway, a buddy of my has a pair of these mated with an EAC Powermaster Amp and an Anthem Pre. I've spent hours and hours listening to them and while the metal tweeter can be a bit much, as F1 points out, the overall experience is always fantastic. Great detail and image. Seemless soundstage.
