Went to one of my best friends house today to have a cartridge mounted in a headshell for my Marantz 6100 TT(he has the protractor and he is my tech) did that, than we noticed a left ch issue. One of the rca cables gave up the ghost soooo an hour later I have new gold RCA plugs installed (so I can use the AQ king cobras for the turntable also new ground plug screw mount. And while we were in there..... removed the cueing piston and relubed it lubed the main bearings, adj cuing cleaned the insides, adj tonearm and cked bearnings, checked belt and speed.rebalanced tonearm and reset all three cartridges in there headshells.good for another 100,000 miles!.

    Let me tell ya! Without his friendship AND his servicing my vintage equip ( see sig.) I could never have the system or the sound I have. Not to mention his advise ( priceless) what he has done for me and my sys is beyound measure! I am truly fortunate! Hope he reads this! LOL.

    Other than what was mentioned this table is a beauty. About 9.5/10 in condition. Got it from original owner just perfect not a mark on it anywhere. My second one, the first no where neer as nice. This is a keeper ,"when not if" I upgrade I will keep this one. Very pretty bearly had a cobweb inside either LOL. While it was upside down open on the bench as we were ( he ) pulling the cueing piston out I asked for his compressed air can to blow it out and all he said was "why". I said " good point" LOL.

    Even if he charged you a fair price, it's hard to beat that kind of service in an afternoon. Most guys have you drop off gear and it might be ready in a month.

    If I told you what he charged me it would make you sick. Friends! A huge plus to be able to watch and learn . Then just sit listen to music and bull**** for 2 hours, a very good day!

    sounds like a very good day indeed! that's a pretty cool looking tt from what little of it I can see in the photos. I love vintage gear. I don't know what it is. I just do.
