It's a decent one, but you might want to check Polk's eBay store to see if you can snag a refurb for a similar price with a bit of a warranty? $205 from Polk Audio's own eBay store actually http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=360917348544
Thanks, I'd rather do that, and still looking."if it's not fun, it's not worth it & remember folks, "It's All About The Music"!!

Don't get a cheap sub to go with your speakers - it will simply be outclassed and never integrate well. In fact, if you power them well, a cheap sub will add absolutely nothing. You should be looking at subs that approach or surpass the 4 figure mark for MSRP at a minimum.
This is for my living room. Rt2000i's 2-FX 300i's a TLC center and a Yamaha YST-SWO 15 (that I think needs to go,
My new bedroom speakers don't need any help in the bass dept, but I'm sure I'll investigate that at a later time!! lol I'm sure!"if it's not fun, it's not worth it & remember folks, "It's All About The Music"!!

I agree. Get a very decent sub and be done. If you get the right one it will be a mainstay of system and allow you to run whatever speakers you want."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." What is your budget - we would just LUV enabling....uh...helping you spend your money!

probably gonna hold off for now as the new speakers and cables will keep me busy, but looking at that Yamaha (not that Yamaha is bad) I just want to match my system up in the living room. I think the first once from Polk at the top of the thread will be fine for my needs. That honestly is a GREAT sub for that price. And IIRC its near where tophatjohnny lives. Dont let the wattage fool you. I know a guy on this forum that snagged one for his HT and was VERY impressed with it.
Johnny: If for some reason the one in Evansville works better for you, hit me up. I am headed down there this weekend (July 13th) to build my sub and for a couple bucks could pick it up for you and hold it in Indianapolis which is like all of 2 hours from you it looks like. Should match up well with the RT2000's, your Montana's though need something farther up the food chain.
Kinda curious why you don't use the 2000's in the bedroom and put the big guns out on the main floor. Spend a lot of time in the bedroom do ya ?HT SYSTEM-

Glad that worked out! I've been searching daily for a red or black hardtop for my Miata in surrounding cities, and will sometimes search for audio equipment, as well. Just happened to find that yesterday and then forgot to post it to the "deals" thread, and then happened upon your thread.

Great sub! Enjoy.
I'm always surprised when guys upgrade their HTs and leave mine in the dust in less than a year's time on this site. My wife would have a seizure if she read the posts here! lol

That's what he did for me and it worked like a charm. Just didn't know she'd be going to Vegas with him for that whole week, but when she got back...wow, all she could do was talk about getting new speakers and stuff!! Thanks Tony, I owe ya big time for that one."if it's not fun, it's not worth it & remember folks, "It's All About The Music"!!

Sounds like an offer I can't refuse! lol
Actually, I am not unhappy with the HT. Could it be better? Sure. But it's already TOO much for the neighbors and my wife. Besides, I pretty much agree with Doro about HT; it's two channel where the money goes! Most decent HT setups will give you acceptable movie sound...

Nice find, the SVS cylinders are about the best values around when you can get them that cheap. Every time I see one I always think about the similar looking cylinder I had for car audio. I used to use it in my home stereo when it was not in the car. Very cool way to get big bass in a small footprint.2.2 Office Setup | LG 29UB55 21:9 UltraWide | HP Probook 630 G8 | Dell Latitude | Cabasse Stream Amp 100 | Boston Acoustics VS 240 | AUDIORAX Desk Stands | Sub 1 - Mirage Omni S8 | Sub 2 - Mirage Omni S8
