New to me Marantz Rack

Well i stumbled on a cheap 20.00 rack locally & said why not. Had to repair bottom & top shelf - as they were scratched up. It came out pretty decent & i think better than before. Also gave more breathing room for the R2R top because the other rack it was only about a 1/2 clearance. It is narrower-but taller. I decided while i was at it to service the Marantz 2252b seen how i had it out. If you are reading this i have to thank all CP for helping me take the challenges ive taken in the last 2.5 - 3years. Always trying to improve sound quality or making the gear look presentable on a budget. Im not good with electronics & i read alot of old threads on here often & get idea's. Here is a pic of the old

    Thanks guys/gals I was out n about today & the Mrs's called me & said it didnt look right. I asked her why. She said the old Sony cd player (oldie but goodie;) i added to it didnt look right. She normally doesnt say anything. So i may add something different. Maybe a Yaqin cd tube player (where i dont have room for my Yaqin cd1 now-too tall) or a mid level silver Marantz player to match everything else

    Looks good, Randy, a well-spent $20. But, what about the Budweiser sign? Didn't make the cut?

    Also, my vote is in for the silver-faced Marantz CD player. Would be a nice fit with the other gear.

    ^^^Thats funny. She actually likes it. As Gomer Pyle would put it-Surprise Surprise Surprise. The Bud tap handle im not sure what i did with it-it will be back :) im looking for a cd player last night with no luck. Put a bid on one n lost :) I want to keep it under a grand & may roll in some tubes

    Randy, The $20 rack of dark wood wins over the contemperary glass and cylinder look of before. Even though you can hide most of the wires your in the open air there and to much is exposed. I like the fact at certain angles it looks to be a custom fit.

    Yes i like hiding all cords/wires. Pics above were before i had it completely done. I ordered something last week & it should be here today/tomorrow & didnt want to have to hook/unhook again. It may not be complete till i get the cd player. Decisions with so many options to ponder on :smile:
