    Would love to have a 65" Pany. It was the best looking set in the store when I was shopping a few years ago. Just more than I wanted to spend at the time. Maybe a used one will surface nearby someday.

    When I went to Best Buy for my latest tv purchase (only to compare), they only had like 1 plasma to compare in the main area. so imagine a normal customer comparing a plasma to the VERY bright and colorful LCD next to it. The LCDs are on scorch mode and the plasma was VERY dark. Of course people are gonna pick the LCD. Most people aren't like the people on these forums.

    I ended up getting an LCD because I have a bright room..plus I've never had a plasma or seen one properly calibrated in a dark room, so I have no idea what I'm missing..My tv looks great. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

    Saw a Samsung plasma surrounded by LED's - looked so dark you might think something was wrong with it. It wasn't til you got up close and compared the picture that you realized how good it looked.

    Got my new Sammy PN64H500 delivered today. Delivery guy even helped me pop it on the wall mount. Tweaked it a bit turned off the eco mode and selected dynamic mode off the pre selects and it has a very deep,sharp and vivid picture. I am right at 11' away from the screen,which makes is about as close as you should get from this display. I chose this model as I do not need all the bells and whistles that are on the $3k + models and am very satisfied with the picture quality. Picture is much more real than the Sony Bravia LED 3D LCD and completes my HT (for now) At $1300 if you need a no frills plasma with a very nice picture this might be for you...

    The colors and brightness look so much better on the Sammy compared to your Sony :P

    Size comparison is that the Sammy is about 8"wider and 4" taller than the Sony... BTW this has no 3D... For the few times I had used the 3D on the Sony... It was cool but it was annoying trying to wear 2 pairs of glasses and it kinda wasn't worth it for me...

    What Samsung models are you guys planning on buying :smile:...

    I am looking for something 40 inches or bigger, 1080 would be nice, but I am OK with 720. Wanting to use it as a BIG computer monitor so I can sit about 10 feet away from my PC hehehe

    Mikey...congrats on the TV. Hard to beat a 64 inch plasma for that price. We are house shopping, so if our new house has the proper room I am picking up this set too.
