I went over to the Klipsch 2chl site and saw this post and never heard of such a thing ever happening. A guy was using his Carver M1.5T amp and found that it was producing less than what he was used to. Another member determined that it uses outside tranformers and relied on the power of that block. Then somone else chimed in and said when they moved from one property to another their amp got better. Is this possible and how much could effect an amp and not another piece of electrical gear.

    A little Kill-a-Watt meter would add a lot of information to the situation.

    Many things can effect the sound LW. One being the most obvious, the room. Another could be the differences in electric service, as in cleaner power from older lines to newer lines in a house. Still another, if the amp is a Carver, it's pretty old and may need some going over to bring it back up to snuff. Hence a lessor output/difference in sound over time is certainly possible with old amps.
