had this dam thing since it first came out. was working for 2 years strait then just died, now I had it sitting on my tv stand for 4,5,6 years. problem is (and a few people know bout this one) the amp shut off when u turn it on and the ipod light blinks. I try tinkering with this bad boy every know and then to come up with something. and u hear no solutions on the web. only thing I found while messing wit it, is that it shuts off when u have speaker a or b on.(meaning lit up on panel to).but if u turn it on and hit the speaker button fast the unit will stay on. and u can turn it on and off as many times u want and the unit WILL stay ON as long as the speaker a and b are off. so I turn to you Polk heads to c if theres any diy's or any sulotions.

Your memory is poor, it came out in late 2010.
The problem you are having indicates a bad amplifier. Send it to Pioneer for repair as there is nothing you can do to fix it.Political Correctness'.........defined

Yes, try a hard reseat. There are some who's units would not even turn on after a power surge. After a hard reset the units came back to life. Others were not so lucky.... The Power amp assy is $360 alone.2.2 Office Setup | LG 29UB55 21:9 UltraWide | HP Probook 630 G8 | Dell Latitude | Cabasse Stream Amp 100 | Boston Acoustics VS 240 | AUDIORAX Desk Stands | Mirage Omni S8 sub1 | Mirage Omni S8 Sub2

is the hard reset where u hold down and enter and turn it on?

Resetting the Pioneer SC-37 system:
(Page 82 in the manual)
Use the front panel controls to do this:
-Set MULTI-ZONE to OFF (Make sure to disconnect ALL USB devices in this unit)
-Switch the receiver into standby (off/on button)
-While holding down ENTER on the front panel, press the STANDBY/ON button. The display shows RESET
-Select RESET using PRESET arrow buttons on the front panel, then press ENTER on the front panel. The display shows RESET? OK.
-Press ENTER to confirm
^ Sorry, I should have provided that, and explained why I did not suggest it firstly. A full factory reset will clear all settings, including inputs, tuner programming, etc. I think clearing the MCACC memories will "reset" MCACC without messing up everything else, but have not tried.

I googled SC-37 hard reset -
I tried that multi times.

if I bought a power amp and hooked it up to it, would it work if I had the speaker A/B off ?

maybe hard to tell from here for sure. I'm thinking with the money spent on amp that would be good money spent on a fix instead, then get an amp if you like. -
That SC37 is solid gear bro, I would just have it repaired.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Sounds like it's going into protect, most likely a short in one of the power amps . I would send it to a qualified tech.2 Channel - Polk SDA-2BTL, Carver TFM-35, Peachtree iDAC, Qobuz streamed via Episode Lynk using bubble UPnP server
