Once again I need some help from the pro's. I just got my 350 the other day, and here's my question. Is there any real, noticable difference in performance by wiring your reciever into the input jacks and then having your fronts run from the outputs? I went the lazy mans route the other day and currently have it hooked into my Onkyo 494 with a Monster Cable via the LFE input. It sounds decent, but if it would sound markedly better the other way, I'd be willing to run a little more wire. I'm using 800I's for my fronts. As alway's,,,thanks for any advice.

I had close to the same setup, I think the LFE out to the sub, with the 800's as mains set to large is the way to go. The 800's handled everything I threw at em'. End of story.

    Russ

Same here as well, except I have my 800i's set to small (suggested by Denon receiver manual) and sub picking up everything under 80Hz. I don't know which I prefer yet, I'm still experimenting with the sound.

i would set your fronts to large they can handle the frequency range. the denon manual prob suggested the small setting as most people have smaller speaks.
i have older rt10's set to large they can take any thing i give em'
my front stage sounds fuller with my mains and center running on the large setting

Thank's for the pat on the back Bro! I just look at it this way. I have a great job that I've been fortunate enough to enjoy for almost 15 years. Regarding the sub, unless someone tells me that it will make a mammoth difference, I think I will stay with the setup I have now. Besides, I dropped some coin on that cable! Thank's for the input. Where are you at in the great Lone Star State??

my .02 is that using the LFE is just fine, set your fronts to large and let 'em rock.

ditto what Russ said, my hat is off to you......
