I need help troubleshooting...I had a stereo prfessionally installed-Pioneer(Premier) DHP-6500 no problems..I then decided to replace the dash speakers myself(BIG MISTAKE)the dash speakers are 3'5inch..I have sound with the past off(on accessory) have sound before cranking over engine lose sound once engine is turned over...Sometimes I do have sound right at first when engine is cranked but lose it within 5 min.I also noticed that the sound goes in and out. I also went as far as having speakers professionally installed and still have same problem.. I have traced all the wires to make sure everything is connected properly. So I am at no ends with this..Also the stereo place did try another brand new stereo like mine and same problem and another speaker direct and same problem..Please any help would be appreciated.. The vehicle is 1985 Chevy 1/2ton Silverado..Thanks Chevygirl49094
ps i have since also put on a noise filter by suggestion and still have same problem..

The only thing I can think of is if the engine block is grounded properly. You might want to find the ground strap in the engine bay and see if that needs to be replaced.Expert Moron Extraordinaire
