Hi, thanks for reading!
Which of the speakers above have the brighter sound?
It's just for listen MP3 320kbps in my htpc equipped with a X-FI GO Pro USB.
- M-Audio AV30 (Some people say it's low quality)
- M-Audio AV40
- Behringer MS40
- Alesis Elevate 3 (The cheapest)
- Alesis Elevate 5
- Edifier R1600T / R1200T
I have an Edifier R1000TCN and for me, it's sounds "bassy".

Hi, welcome to Club Polk!
I do not know any of the speakers you mentionned as they are "self-powered" speakers. Most people here use a receiver or an amplifier instead of buying a speaker with it's own amplification, but I guess some people could help you.
I would like to know why do you ask for the speaker with the brighter sound? Do you really want a bright speaker, or do you wish to rule it out of your list?
You need to consider that while a speaker might be "brighter" than another one, it could still sound better or worse than another one at the same price or more, meaning that "bright", "warm" or "bassy" has nothing to do with the general construction and quality of the product. It's simply a qualitative way to describe what you hear: for some people, a certain speaker would be bright, but not for others. However, you can certainly find concensus about some speakers, in particular non-powered ones.Speakers: Polk Audio LSiM 705, LSiM 703, LSiM 704c

Hi, thanks for the answer.
I just need to know if someone knows which of the speakers above sounds less "bassy". -
Thanks for all the answers!

I haven't had good luck with M-Audio. I had their AV30 I think for use with a TV with no built-in speakers but I tried them for audio on my computer once and they stunk. My little $10 harman kardons smoked them. And within 2 yrs one of them died completely. I don't know what kind of music you listen to or how loud but I can definitely recommend the Fostex PMO4.n, which is what I have now, as long as you don't want insane volume. They are a little more expensive than the others you listed but you might find them cheaper on Ebay.2 channel - Willsenton R8 tube integrated, Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE DAC, audio optimized NUC7i5, Windows 10 Pro/JRiver MC29/Fidelizer Plus 8.7 w/LPS and external SSD drive, PS Audio PerfectWave P3 regenerator, KEF R3 speakers, Rythmik F12SE subwoofer, Audioquest Diamond USB cable, Gabriel Gold IC's, Morrow Audio SP5 speaker cables.
